Art for Life, the charitable association chaired by Melcha Coder is organizing its annual gala featuring a prestigious concert at the Nice Côte d’Azur Opera on July 6th. The proceeds will be donated to the Nice University Hospital.

Tonight, Verdi’s illustrious opera, Il trovatore or The Troubadour, is coming to Nice for a good cause. On the occasion of a charity gala, Art for Life is bringing three internationally renowned singers to the stage voluntarily. The association regularly raises funds to advance medical research in various fields. Melcha Coder, its president, is a former renowned singer and has established herself as a prominent figure in promoting opera in Nice.

The evening’s program includes a selection of great duets and trios conducted by Alice Meragliana. The Nice Opera Choir will also participate. Soprano Angélique Bondeville will play Leonora, tenor Samuel Simoncini will play Manrico, and baritone Jaime Eduardo will play Count di Luna. The mayor, Christian Estrosi, and his deputy for the Opera, Marc Concas, will be present at the event.

The proceeds will be donated this year to the department of neurosurgery professor Denys Fontaine at the Pasteur Hospital in Nice. The funds raised will enable the purchase of diagnostic equipment for neurodegenerative diseases. These new tools will help, for example, in diagnosing conditions such as Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.

For more information, the Maison de Nice at Nice Étoile is open to the public from 11 AM to 6 PM. Alternatively, information or reservations can be obtained by phone at 06 75 72 01 70.
