On the occasion of the 25th edition of the Press and Media Week at school, the students of Thรฉrรจse Romรฉo 2 school recorded a live radio show in different languages.
Thanks to the Cลur de ville international project, 5 international sections have opened in the schools of the area (Thรฉrรจse Romรฉo 1 and 2, Ronchรจse, and Auber). In addition to English, students can learn Chinese, Russian, Classical Arabic, Italian, or Portuguese.
This initiative by the Acadรฉmie de Nice will enable French students to practice a foreign language in depth, facilitate the integration of foreign students into the French school system, and promote the transmission of cultural heritage.
A hundred students can now study Classical Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, or Russian in-depth in 1st grade and 6th grade. The program will expand in the coming years to allow hundreds of students to learn one of these five languages in central Nice from 1st grade to the final year, in addition to English.
In the presence of Marc Verlay, National Education Inspector, subscription of Nice 6, and Jean Paul Delbrayelle, Deputy Delegate for Media and Information Education, 80 children divided into four groups presented the languages they study in the form of a radio show.
Initiated last year, the project of developing radio activity supports that of the Cลur de Ville international. Moreover, more and more establishments are reaching out to CLEMI to launch themselves on air.
In collaboration with professionals in the field (Sensation-live by Angelique and SB Music for the technical part), CLEMI offers training and interventions in Nice and Cรดte d’Azur classes.
This year, the priority is given to primary education. Indeed, radio is an activity rich in meaning and skills to acquire for kindergarten and primary students. Schools in the 6th district of Nice are the first to embark on creating an online journal and a web radio to support their School project.
During this event, Jean Paul Delbrayelle, the cornerstone of the recent Press and Media Weeks at school, presented an online journal. A real travel log in which students and teachers can publish their work and also upload radio shows recorded in all languages every month.
