After “Mon fric,” which will be performed on Friday night, the Emergence Company will present another show this weekend at L’Espace Magnan.
Saturday, October 2, at 8:30 PM, L’Espace Magnan will host another play by the Magnan Company, a famous play by William Shakespeare revisited: A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Synopsis: There is discord in Athens. Demetrius asks for the hand of the beautiful Hermia. But she refuses, being in love with Lysander. Demetrius proposes the following dilemma: Hermia marries him or she is sentenced to death. While the young couple decides to leave Athens to be together, the young Helena, in love with Demetrius and unsure of how to win him over, reveals her friends’ escape plan to gain his favor. Meanwhile, some craftsmen must put on a play for the Duke and Duchess’s wedding, while the ruthless and vile world of the forest suffers discord between the couple Oberon and Titania, who are arguing over a page.
Seven young actors from the Emergence Company (Mélissa Polonie, Marine Guillemain, Mikael Cassoli, Jean-Baptiste Giorni, Nathaniel Baker, Steeven Vigne, and Lucas Gimello) will present an atypical adaptation of W. Shakespeare’s work in a funny, human, and fantastical universe à la Tim Burton for 1h20.
The ticket prices for this performance are 10€, 12€, 15 €.
A health pass or a negative PCR or Antigen test less than 72 hours old will also be required.
Tickets can be purchased on the Espace Magnan website or by phone at 06.17.22.46.84.
