A new 5-episode series will soon be arriving on Netflix. Filmed in Nice and its surroundings, the mini-series adapted from a book by the famous crime writer Harlan Coben will be called “Gone for Good.”
Through a [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ba4aB53mWc) released on July 20th, the streaming platform Netflix announced the release of a new Franco-American series adapted from a new Harlan Coben novel, scheduled for August 13th. This thriller mini-series directed by David Elkaรฏm and Vincent Poymiro (screenwriters of the series “In Therapy”) was filmed in Nice and the Alpes Maritimes in 2020. It will present a story of disappearance and investigation across 5 episodes of 50 minutes each.
Synopsis: Guillaume Lucchesi (Finnegan Oldfield) finds his past demons resurfacing when his girlfriend Judith (Nailia Harzoune) disappears during his mother’s funeral. The thirtysomething feels he’s reliving the terrible trauma that devastated him: the deaths of Sonia (Garance Marillier), his first love, and Fred (Nicolas Duvauchelle), his brother.
The cast, comprised of both American and French actors, seems to promise excellent performances on screen. Notably, we see Finnegan Oldfield, winner of the 2016 Cรฉsar Award for Most Promising Actor for “Les Cowboys,” playing the main character, as well as Garance Marillier, who gained recognition in Julia Ducourneau’s “Raw.” Nicolas Duvauchelle, known for his roles in “The Well-Diggerโs Daughter” and “Polisse,” is also featured.
