Organized by the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes since 2005, “C’est pas classique” has become a must-see in the classical music calendar.
This year again, more than 50 free concerts and events over 3 days will make classical music accessible to everyone in a different way.
This 15th edition will be no exception. While it once again brings together the greatest virtuosos in an eclectic program, this edition will be full of new features that are sure to surprise the thousands of spectators expected, as every year, for this essential autumn event in the Côte d’Azur.
Three of the four highlights that will rhythm these three days of the festival will pay tribute to great female voices.
On opening night, “Piaf Symphonique” will resonate with the aura of Edith Piaf, masterfully interpreted by the fabulous Anne Carrere. The following day, “D.I.V.A.,” five opera virtuosos, will revamp the genre in an extraordinary show at the crossroads of cabaret, circus, and music hall.
Finally, forty-two years after her passing and for the first time in Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes, Maria Callas will perform on the grand stage of the Apollon hall and will gracefully close this edition with an exceptional hologram recital!
Another highlight, “Ed Banger Symphonie,” a show created for the 15th anniversary of the French electronic music label founded by Pedro Winter, will build bridges between worlds that, at first glance, do not often intersect.
Beyond this, the festival will gather a myriad of highly talented artists who, over an entire weekend, will give their best to introduce spectators from 0 to 99 years old to classical music in a different way.
