On this occasion, the Lascaris Palace will unveil one of the jewels of its collection of musical instruments: the viola da gamba made by William Turner (London, 1652).

During a series of musical animations lasting about 45 minutes, Sibylle Schuetz, from the Society of Ancient Music of Nice, will perform Baroque music on this extremely rare instrument in the Grand Salon of the Lascaris Palace.

On Friday, May 29 at 12:00 PM, she will be accompanied by Claire Gouton, soprano.

On Friday, June 26 at 12:00 PM, Michaëla Chétrite will play the harpsichord.

A unique feature of this event, named ‘English Promenade at the Lascaris Palace’, is the unusual timing of the concerts. To attract a new audience, the concerts will take place at noon, allowing working individuals to enjoy this cultural and relaxing moment.
