The girls made a splash in Waasland during their 2nd International Tournament of the season, securing a third-place finish that allowed them to step onto the podium for the first time in their and the club’s history!

A depleted team, yes and no, because the girls received reinforcement on the bench from the boys’ coach: Karolina Lazarewicz.
5 teams and 8 matches, as the teams would meet each other twice, a very interesting level to play and excellent preparation!
Nice began the day in the best way by winning their first match 7-2 against Waassland, then drawing 2-2 against Gent after leading 2-0 and cracking at the end… But they followed up with another draw against Glarus 4-4, equalizing at the last moment this time!
High morale, a well-bonded team… but the girls of A.N.I.C.E.S would go through a dark patch! They went on to lose 4 consecutive matches… 1-4 against Graz, then 3-5 against Waassland, 2-5 against Gent, and another heavy defeat 1-6 against Glarus.
Mission accomplished, they put on an outstanding match and inflicted a heavy 9-2 defeat on Graz, which allowed them, in a very tight tournament where none of the teams wanted to give up, to claim a splendid 3rd place!
For the men, the team was small in number and composed of only 3 players: Bernard Berger, Cรฉdric Bouchet, and Sรฉbastien Filippini, all without a coach…!
The people from Nice started strong this morning by convincingly beating Glarus 4-0 and Brussels 3-0. But they would meet the European Champion Waassland 1 and had to concede in the last minute 2-3, what a pity!
Nice rebounded against Teramo without holding back, 7-2 but faltered against Waassland’s 2nd team: 1-4, with violent shots and precision getting the better of our team from Nice!
A draw against Magdeburg 1-1 in a tight and tactical match, but it was the last misstep of the day… because the Nice team came back to construct, wanting to finish a very beautiful tournament and strung together 3 consecutive victories: 6-2 against Graz, 4-2 against Berlin, and, under the encouragement of the girls who had finished their day, completed the job against Dortmund 5-2.
