After three years of construction, the Port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is now fully renovated to modernize the accommodation for both yachts and traditional boats, enhance comfort, and improve service quality while protecting biodiversity.
These improvements, which became essential due to the weakening of structures and the increasing traffic at the port, were carried out in three phases, consistently during the off-season to avoid disrupting the portโs activities. The project, which began in 2016, allowed the Port to modernize in all aspects and to obtain the โClean Portsโ certification in 2017, valid until December 2020.
Since Cap Ferrat is classified as a Natura 2000 zone, the improvements ensure the protection of the siteโs exceptional biodiversity, thanks in particular to a new innovative system for pumping black and gray water.
In total, nearly 12 million euros have been dedicated by the โNew Port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferratโ to the renovation and modernization of the port, with a contribution of 500,000 euros from the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis.
