A new batch for the Cuisine Nissarde Label

The “Cuisine Nissarde” label, created nearly 30 years ago by the Capelina d’Or and managed by the Nice Tourism and Convention Bureau since 2014, was awarded last night to new restaurants.

This label is fully integrated into the culture and way of life of Nice, a city where great importance is placed on cuisine.

The Niรงoise table reflects the notion of well-being and respect for regional products. This is expressed through Niรงoise gastronomy, a very dynamic sector with the opening of new restaurants and the presence of young starred chefs, for whom the dish is as important as the decor of the place and the quality of the reception.

The “Cuisine Nissarde” labeling process is therefore carried out with a focus on excellence, quality, and authenticity, while highlighting the most emblematic recipes in accordance with tradition. It is also for this reason that the “Cuisine Nissarde” label is awarded by season.

It has been established by associating a regulation, an evaluation grid, a logo, and a technical committee, in order to verify that each labeled restaurant meets the established criteria, such as respect for recipes, product quality, reception, information, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations…

The first restaurants labeled in 2014 were thus subjected to mystery client visits to ensure these criteria were met. As a result of these visits, some restaurants saw their label removed or were subjected to a follow-up visit.

Restaurants wishing to highlight their Niรงoise cuisine can apply at any time to the Nice Tourism and Convention Bureau.
