A new BioGNV refueling station inaugurated in Nice

Latest News

Christian Estrosi was present this morning with Thierry Barbotto, President of the automotive transport companies Nice Plan du Var and Vallรฉe de lโ€™Esteron, for the inauguration of a new BioGNV fueling station.

This station will supply certain buses of the Lignes dโ€™Azur network, specifically 20 buses with 11 vehicles from line 59, and 3 vehicles from the Scolabus lines, among others. This initiative is part of the objective of the 2025 climate plan, which aims to decarbonize the entire fleet of buses. The fueling station will help reduce CO2 emissions by at least 80% compared to diesel.

The BioGNV gas, derived from the methanization of plant material, will achieve this goal, but it also offers other benefits. These include the reduction of harmful chemical pollutants, the near elimination of particulates, and the absence of odor and smoke. All of this contributes to the improvement of sustainable mobility development, to which Christian Estrosi has been committed since 2009.
