Since January 2017, with the NOTRe law, the Region has become the organizing authority for interurban transport (excluding metropolitan areas).
Today, the Region transports annually:
• 40 million TER users
• 16 million people on departmental buses
• 1 million LER passengers
• 400,000 travelers on the Chemins de Fer de Provence
