At the beginning of 2021, the city of Cagnes-sur-Mer welcomes a new workspace! Val Space, a human-scale coworking space, opens its doors in the heart of the Val Fleuri district, offering residents of Cagnes-sur-Mer and surrounding towns an alternative to remote working.
This brand-new venue (16 individual offices and a meeting room spread over a total area of 65m2), with modern and meticulous decoration, was designed by Delphine Zabouri-Facon, a former hospitality sales executive turned freelance consultant and graphic designer. The project, a second life built to meet her own needs as an entrepreneurial mother.
“The desire to create a coworking space came to me during my career change. At that time, I was writing a thesis on the theme ‘how to manage Generation Z,’ and my research led me to understand young people’s attraction to collaboration and their desire for professional freedom. This study made me realize that it also matched my needs since my career change. When the opportunity arose to take over a location in Cagnes-sur-Mer, where coworking spaces are rare compared to Nice, I did not hesitate for a second and embarked on the adventure. Was it the right time given the health situation? We’ll see!”
Val Space adapts to everyone’s needs
Everyone has their needs! By hour or month, in an individual office or for a work meeting, the Val Space coworking space adapts to all and offers tailor-made options.
In addition to individual offices, the space includes a meeting room on a charming 22m2 mezzanine, which can be privatized and accommodate 2 to 10 people. It is equipped with a TV that connects to laptops, a whiteboard with markers, and a bottle of water per person. Breaks or gourmet receptions are also offered at an additional cost.
Rates: Meeting room rental from €30 excluding VAT per month // Coworking day from €20 excluding VAT per day // Subscription from €100 excluding VAT per month.
Offered Services: Wi-Fi, printing, scanning, use of individual lockers, coffee and tea, kitchen (equipped with a fridge and microwave), bathroom (equipped with a shower).
Workshops: Throughout the first semester, Val Space launches a workshop program with speakers who will discuss various topics (info on the website).
Health Protocol: In accordance with current measures, the space is regularly disinfected, mask-wearing is mandatory, and coworkers are asked to respect barrier gestures. The meeting room is temporarily limited to five people to comply with the 4m2 rule.
