It will be remembered that this case attracted a lot of attention before finding a solution accepted by both parties involved. In the end, all’s well that ends well, especially when the general interest prevails.

lenval-5.jpg The Board of Directors of the Lenval Foundation has chosen Mr. Arnaud POUILLART, currently Director of Dôle Hospital Center (39), to lead the Private Health Establishment of Collective Interest Pediatric Hospitals of Nice CHU-LENVAL, which now brings together all pediatric services in Nice and will have university hospital status in the coming months.

He will serve as Deputy Director in charge of hospital pediatrics alongside the General Director of the Foundation, Mr. Bernard LECAT. Arnaud POUILLART will assume his duties gradually starting from November 1, 2013, on a part-time basis before being seconded full-time to Lenval from January 1, 2014.

On that date, the main provisions of the memorandum of understanding signed on May 13, 2013, between the Lenval Foundation and the CHU of Nice will have been implemented.

It should be noted that the management of the pediatric services grouped on the Lenval site since 2010 is effectively ensured by the ESPIC Pediatric Hospitals of Nice CHU-LENVAL, attached to the Foundation since July 1, 2013.

A revision of the Foundation’s statutes has been undertaken and is currently submitted to the Ministry of the Interior, with a view to organizing representation of the CHU of Nice on the Board of Directors of the Lenval Foundation.

The ESPIC governing bodies are in place. The new director has been recruited and will form his board in the coming weeks. A new medical conference has been constituted. It has elected Dr. Jean-Luc CLEMENT (former President of the Lenval CME) as President and Dr. Christian RICHELME (Pediatrician from the CHU of Nice) as Vice-President.
