A new dog beach in front of Lenval Hospital

Certainly, in Nice, the expression “a dog is man’s best friend” finds its full truth. Moreover, it will be given an artistic acknowledgment… a sculpture in its honor by the Nicois artist Stéphane Bolongaro.

After the success of the Carras dog beach set up in 2008, and all the facilities for four-legged companions and their owners that earned Nice the number 1 spot in the “dog-friendly” French cities ranking by 30 Million Friends, a new dog beach is being set up in front of Lenval Hospital!

This secure beach, separated from other swimming areas, will offer a quality stroll and bath to all dogs and their owners. To keep the space clean, canine bag dispensers will be located at each end of the area alongside cleanliness bins. A freshwater tap will also be installed to hydrate and rinse the dogs so they can frolic safely despite the summer heat. After that, how can we still say… we live like a dog?

After so many controversies, Christian Razeau, host of the Animal Collective 06 and the Association for the Development of Animal Law, can finally express his satisfaction: “It is on this same beach that for fifteen years we have been bathing our dogs with the only authorization being that of the Prefect.
Since then, much has changed, and the municipality has revised its positions. It is thus a great satisfaction to see our perseverance and the importance of the role our pets play be recognized.”

All winners, then, and it’s just as well like that.
