OGC Nice confirmed last night the appointment of Gauthier Ganaye as the club’s president. He will have the significant task of succeeding Jean-Pierre Rivère.
This Wednesday evening, the Supervisory Board of OGC Nice officially recorded with immediate effect the end of Jean-Pierre Rivère’s term as president and Julien Fournier’s term as managing director.
The club’s new management will be composed of Gauthier Ganaye, the new chairman of the board, along with Claude Li, who will serve as managing director.
Through its president, Chien Lee, the Supervisory Board “thanks Jean-Pierre Rivère and Julien Fournier for the in-depth work accomplished since 2011 in managing the club. Under their leadership, OGC Nice has reached a completely new level, both in sporting and structural terms.”
Chien Lee, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “As a new chapter in the long history of OGC Nice is written today, we want every member of the red and black family to be convinced that our commitment is long-term and that we have ambitious goals for OGC Nice.”
Gauthier Ganaye, president of OGC Nice: “I want to thank the supervisory board for the confidence they have placed in me, and I am eager to officially take on my role as President of such a prestigious institution as OGC Nice. A football club is not like any other business; OGC Nice represents a region and its residents. I want to immerse myself in its history and identity to bring together all its components around a common project. I am eager to meet those who make up OGC Nice: players, staff, employees, supporters, and partners.”
