ING welcomes students wishing to acquire a high-level certified and recognized specialization in the field of gemmology, stones, and luxury, as well as professionals for professional and specialized training.

Already training some 400 trainees per year, ING is recognized for the quality of its teachings and its expertise meeting the demanding criteria of French jewelry. Thus, the largest jewelry houses such as Mauboussin, Cartier, Van Cleef, Gucci, Vuitton, and many other professionals such as Didier Guérin, Histoire d’Or, Crédit Municipal have called upon ING to train their staff.

Over its 48 years of existence, ING has trained several thousand gemmologists and was rewarded with the State-certified Gemmologist title, level 3, in 2010.
Also, in February 2011, ING is opening training aimed at young students.

Admission will be direct for those holding a level 4 (baccalaureate) and via application and interview, as well as a motivation interview for those with a level 5 (CAP, BEP, etc.).
In the first two years, students prepare for the State-certified Gemmologist Title. In the third year, they specialize in the Bachelor of Luxury Goods Trading, jewelry option.

The educational content: primarily hands-on work in small groups of up to 14 people.

From the history of jewelry to the scientific concepts of gemmology, future graduates will undertake practical gemmology courses as well as more specialized modules on diamonds, pearls, and jewelry creation. Assisted by the best specialist experts during their training, ING graduates benefit from genuine professional know-how of very high added value.
Throughout the year, students will be able to apply their knowledge through internships in businesses in the luxury sector.

The educational team will be coordinated by a permanent professor from ING Paris, based in Nice, who will rely on the support of many gemmologists trained by ING and based in the Azurean region.

The first year (February 1, 2011, to July) will last 6 months, with intensive courses.

The second year will run from September 2011 to July, alternating.

In September 2011, the third year of specialization, Bachelor in Luxury Goods Trading, jewelry option, will open and be accessible to students with an equivalency.
ING has a long tradition of continuous professional training (80% of its activity). Thus, alongside the initial training, from February, there will be gemmology internships as part of professional training, resulting in State-recognized diplomas. These internships are intended for both professionals wishing to improve their knowledge of certain stones and amateurs interested in gemmology.

Students will benefit from a collection specially put together for Nice of 6,000 stones and laboratories equipped with the latest generation equipment: microscopes, polariscopes, as well as all the stone expertise equipment (diamond testers).
ING and ISCAE have established a partnership to develop cooperation in the fields of Education and Research in Communication, Commerce, Gemmology, and Luxury. Its objectives are:
– Establishment of the Luxury Goods Commerce Bachelor’s training program, which will be common to both organizations.
– Development of joint actions such as conferences, seminars, team research, publications;
