“I know not everyone is happy about not being able to drive anymore, but I want to make Nice the green city of the Mediterranean,” announced the mayor of Nice. The Saint-Augustin Park and Ride, located near the station, will offer the city 184 additional spaces. It is part of the project for a multimodal exchange hub, including tram line 2. This is a start in the effort to advance public transportation in the agglomeration but also not to leave the western residents of Nice and the 18 municipalities of CANCA behind.

Six additional buses on line 9/10

With the three other park and rides (Las Planas, Pont-Michel, and Vauban), there will be 1,354 fewer exhaust pipes in the center. Reducing noise, pollution, and especially improving urban living quality is the goal of these Parkazur facilities. Let’s remember that the west of the city suffers from nearly 40,000 vehicles passing daily. Thus, motorists can use lines 9 and 10, which will be reinforced. Six additional buses will reduce wait times to 5/6 minutes during peak hours.
After 6 months of work and an investment of 1.4 million, the park and ride will be open every day of the week, from 5:30 am to 10 pm. The system is low-cost because, with a validated transport ticket, the parking spot is free. The Parkazur will also welcome scooters, bicycles, and people with reduced mobility. Four spaces are allocated for them. CANCA plans to open two other park and rides: Saint-Roch, Saint-Isidore.
