The Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur is responsible for the Urban Renewal policy on its territory. Located at the heart of the Eco-Vallée area, near major operations (Nice Méridia, Grand Arénas, MIN, multimodal station, future tram…), the Moulins neighborhood acts as a “hinge” between central Nice and the Var Valley.
In the Moulins, a district known for its challenges, the goal is to lead an urban and social reconquest, to sustainably improve the comfort and living conditions of all inhabitants.
It is currently undergoing an urban renovation operation (with more than 215 million euros committed) with the ambition of improving the residents’ living environment, sketching a new landscape that is more attractive, open, friendly, and sustainable, for a better quality of life.
Roadways are being created to open up the neighborhood and allow for smoother movement of both people and vehicles.
As part of this, the inauguration of Joséphine Baker Street (a 150-meter road) will connect Mahonias Street to Paul Montel Boulevard, serving the Les Petits Loups early childhood and family center (inaugurated last January), Côte d’Azur Habitat buildings 43, 44, 1, and 12, and the underground parking of the Horizon Méridia building.
Aside from the road, a large square is being set up in front of “Les Petits Loups” to create a waiting and gathering area for families.
However, public services play a crucial role in this program, and the new Project House* is a fundamental component. It is the first public space developed in this neighborhood and thus one of the first steps in opening up the Moulins.
The Moulins Project House is a space for information and exchanges. Residents, as well as associative and institutional partners of the neighborhood, can find all the information about the urban project and the life of the neighborhood there.
This public facility can be reserved for organizing meetings, exhibitions, or specific activities within the framework of the urban project.
