At the call of Jeanine Costamagna, president, and Andrรฉ Minetto, vice-president of the Quartier Saint-Roch association, a group of residents protested late yesterday afternoon against the construction project, whose permit has been granted in the adjacent area of the park-and-ride and the bus station in the eastern sector.
According to those calling for the protest, this project is opposed because it contributes to the over-urbanization of an already very dense neighborhood and would eliminate a breathing space and all the (large) trees in the area,
It is said to be a real estate project with an auxiliary shopping center of 12,000 square meters.
What about the very busy bus station?
A gracious appeal has been submitted to the prefecture by the complainants.
