The Moulins neighborhood was once again the scene of a shooting early in the afternoon. A man was seriously injured.
Two weeks after the visit of the Prime Minister accompanied by the Ministers of the Interior and Justice, a new shooting broke out at 3:20 PM in the Moulins neighborhood. A 21-year-old man of Chechen origin was seriously injured. He was transported by emergency services in a condition of absolute urgency. The prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation for attempted voluntary homicide.
This is the third reported shooting since June 14th in the Azurean capital. The first took place in the Liserons neighborhood while the second had already occurred in Moulins.
As a reminder, during his visit on July 25th, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the deployment of 60 additional police officers in the city in the upcoming days.
New shooting in the Moulins area in #nice06 around 3 PM. The victim’s life prognosis is engaged. This is the 3rd shooting this summer in the area. By having neglected these neighborhoods and turned a blind eye for too long, here’s what @cestrosi and his team are reaping. pic.twitter.com/TQXWkYhEKR
