Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d’Azur, inaugurated a new sports space on the St Jean d’Angély campus yesterday. This new 600m2 space, fully equipped and connected, will be dedicated to the physical preparation of high-level athletes, reathletization, and leisure sports activities for students and staff of Université Côte d’Azur.

Since 2018, Université Côte d’Azur has embarked on a major campaign to develop and modernize its sports facilities. In nearly 4 years, around 3 million euros have been committed across all university campuses to enhance the sports practice of its community, essential for their well-being and fostering social bonds among its members.

Université Côte d’Azur boasts a sports policy that is based on three strategic axes:

sports and health (promoting a diverse and inclusive sports practice)
performance and excellence (enhancing national and international visibility)
attractiveness and sense of belonging

With more than 10,000 student and staff leisure participants through its sports service, 600 licensed FFSU (French Federation of University Sports) competitors, 15,000 square meters of sports facilities, and 70 instructors, Université Côte d’Azur is one of the major players in sports in our territory.
