A new upheaval in the National Front: Lionel Tivoli will be the departmental head.

Latest News

Marc-André Domergue has left his position as departmental secretary for area 06 of the National Front. He submitted his resignation to Marine Le Pen last week for “personal reasons.”

His successor will be appointed after statutory procedures. Quite logically, another member of the young Marinière guard, Lionel Tivoli, a 27-year-old FN municipal councilor from Antibes, who was his deputy, should replace him.

The resigning officer will retain his position as an elected official on the Nice city council and the Metropolis. An unwavering supporter of Marine Le Pen, he will be involved in the presidential election.

Internal sources within the party deny that this decision is linked to the growing influence of Olivier Bettati, who has been chosen as the FN’s lead candidate in the French Riviera for the upcoming December regional elections.

“No one pushed me into this decision, which I made of my own accord,” stated the resigning officer.

The “accused,” Olivier Bettati, denies any involvement, emphasizing his independent status. “Even if I wanted to, I could not intervene in an internal matter of a party in which I am not even a member,” he explained.

Others report difficulties on the part of Marc-André Domergue, a political novice, in rallying members who do not recognize his authority.
