The University of Côte d’Azur appointed a new Director of Communication and Brand at the start of the school year. The role has been taken by Anne Sophie Peyran.
The former University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, which became the University of Côte d’Azur in 2019, is among the “major French research universities.” It won an Initiative of Excellence in 2016.
The higher education institution aims to be internationally recognized and ranked among the best European universities. To achieve this, it collaborates with “major national research players”. It emphasizes “the excellence of its research,” in which it is heavily invested.
Many responsibilities lie on its internal components, including the University Research Schools (a new term replacing faculties).
Anne Sophie Peyran initially worked as Marketing and Communication Manager at SKEMA Business School, from which she graduated in 2005. The business school then obtained the EQUIS accreditation.
The new director has established herself in the socio-economic environment of the Côte d’Azur through the Riviera Ports network. She led the Marketing, Sales, and Communication department from 2005 to 2018.
Subsequently, the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry employed her to contribute to their Marketing approach. Over the following two years, the Performance and Development Directorate benefited from Anne Sophie Peyran’s expertise.
She is now tasked with increasing the University of Côte d’Azur’s growth, after having contributed to developing the local economy. The director’s participation in the project on developing the “UCA brand,” driven by the teams, has a regional dimension. Mrs. Peyran thus takes part “in the dynamic of the University of Côte d’Azur.”
The Deputy Director of Communication and Brand, Olivier Lubrano, assists her in this new role.
Moreover, the Administrative Council of the Maritime Union 06 counts Anne Sophie Peyran among its volunteer members.
