A nice weighing of Yellow Coins for CHU-Lenval

Latest News

The CHU LENVAL-Nice has conducted the official weighing of the Yellow Coins donation boxes collected from different areas of the city. Giving and sharing beyond the goal has become a vocation of the Yellow Coins operation since 1989.

On Wednesday, February 5th, the Lenval Hospital, the reference establishment for pediatric medical and surgical care, placed on the scale the Yellow Coins deposited in the care and administrative services of pediatric hospitals as well as piggy banks placed in shops in the Californian district of Nice.

Excellent results for the organization! This year, the amount exceeds by 20% that of the previous year. The collection from all the hospitals in Nice is 94.5 kilograms, which is 15 kilograms more than last year.

Arnaud POUILLART, Director of pediatric hospitals CHU Nice-Lenval, and his colleagues were almost at the end of their surprises, even though the goal of 100 kilograms they hoped for was not reached. This figure proves that people have been more generous, he explained to us.

If 1 kilogram of coins is equal to 11 Euros, the 94 kg will therefore be equivalent to 1,000 Euros. Enough to commend the generosity of shopkeepers, bakers, and all those who have demonstrated gratitude towards these hospitalized children and adolescents.
