Michel will join the Trident racing team, led by Richard Durivage, who is Canadian and well-known in the NASCAR world.
His car will be a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, developing over 500 hp.
This will be the grand return of Michel Disdier in an international competition, and especially the first time in over thirty years that a Frenchman will participate in an official race in the most renowned automobile championship in the United States.
It will also be the first time that NASCAR will race on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal, which is preparing for a major
automotive sporting event.

“This new adventure is not by chance, since my first contacts with NASCAR at the end of 2002, I have continually believed that a French, European driver would be well-received by the greatest American automobile championship, which also shows that they are interested in opening their championship to other countries, especially France. It is an immense pleasure and honor for me to finally be able to start racing in NASCAR and to best prepare for my entry into the United States in 2008… I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked towards this goal, who believed in this project and provided their support, allowing me to achieve this first objective.”
Michel Disdier is a happy driver. Everyone takes their turn… on the track!
