Thierry Lubrano will be covering around one hundred kilometers on June 30 and July 1, crossing eight villages to raise funds for the “Petite Fleur de Lys” association to help little Lys undergo therapy in England.
The route will start and finish in the commune of Saint-Jeannet. Communities, individuals, local businesses, and associations will be called upon both for their generosity and to become sponsors.
All donations will be given to the “Petite Fleur de Lys” association to enable the little girl to undergo two one-week therapy sessions in England.
Lys is not like other little girls: she has been fighting against illness since birth. She suffers from a mutation of the CDKL5 gene. She does not speak, does not walk, and is awaiting solutions to be able to communicate.
She fights alongside her friends and parents against this rare disease that was only discovered in 2004, which leads to severe psychomotor delays and difficulties in the child’s interaction with the outside world. A therapy combining physical therapy and psychomotor skills in England can offer her a new life.
