To ensure maximum security and the well-being of both residents and tourists on the French Riviera, the Municipal Police has implemented enhanced surveillance for the summer period. Naturally, particular attention is paid to the most frequented areas.
More than 200 officers take turns patrolling the sectors of Carré d’Or, Old Nice, the Promenade des Anglais, the Quai des États-Unis, the Port, Masséna, and Jean Médecin:
1,024 video surveillance cameras are installed, allowing very effective monitoring of the area. Additionally, coordination with the National Police is ensured for fruitful collaboration within their respective competencies.
The coastline of the Nice municipality comprises 12 hectares of natural beaches spanning 4.5 kilometers, and specialized brigades handle the cleaning of the water and beaches.
