On the occasion of the return of the Nice Jazz Festival, the City of Nice has unveiled a summer exhibition showcasing the previous editions of this world-famous event.

To pay tribute to the oldest Jazz Festival in the world, the Nice Jazz Festival features a retrospective of the posters created for its past editions. Born in 1948 in the Riviera capital, the cradle of jazz in Europe after World War II, the Festival is today one of the essential events for celebrating jazz.

The director of the Nice Jazz Festival, Frédérica Randrianome Karsenty, together with the deputy delegate for culture, Robert Roux.

Since 2017, the facades of the Puces de Nice have been transformed by local artists and their works, aiming to enhance art in public spaces, fostering a sense of proximity with the people of Nice, and showcasing the work of Riviera artists. It is therefore quite logical that this venue hosts the history of the Nice Jazz Festival and this new 2022 edition, which will take place from July 15 to 19.

The exhibition’s opening took place this morning, and it will be displayed at the Puces de Nice all summer long, until August 31.
