The Ars Natura gallery, located in the heart of Old Nice near the famous Rossetti Square, is a concept store entirely dedicated to Nature, serving both as a photographic gallery and a sales venue for designer objects.
The Ars Natura gallery is hosting a brand new temporary exhibition by Claude Delmas from May 23 to July 4, 2009.
Claude Delmas is also part of the gallery’s permanent photographic collection.
“The water droplet may know it’s in the Ocean, but does it also know that the Ocean is within it?” – Eastern proverb
I take you to the land of dreams through an initiatory journey imbued with poetry and romanticism…
Macro photographs of streams and waterfalls, taken without any tricks or retouching, these abstract paintings, born from my imagination, are however composed of very concrete natural substances.
My only tools: a camera as a brush, my moods as a palette, and the whims of this lively, rebellious, unpredictable, and sensual water.
I often add a touch of mysticism by playing with the reflections and transparencies of this element to use it as a guiding thread between Heaven and Earth, between the spiritual and the material. Sometimes, I delightfully dive into endless blurs…
If you keep quiet, you might hear the murmur of the water, the rustling of the trees, perhaps even the song of the bird!
