For the first time in its history, the Red Bull Air Race made a stop in France in the legendary bay of Cannes.

For 3 days, the audience—83,500 spectators, according to the organizers—kept their eyes fixed on 20 pilots (divided into Master Class and Challenger Class), navigating a course made up of 16 inflatable pylons, reaching 25 meters above the water.

The cheers helped propel the Le Havre native Baptiste Vignes to 2nd place in the Challenger Class, the best performance of his career.

In Master Class, Australian Matt Hall claimed a magnificent victory, a very promising sign for the rest of the season.

Le Havre’s Baptiste Vignes secured 2nd place in the Challenger Class, the best performance of his career.
