Description of the people of Nice: “Over there, only palm trees and lettuce grow, and since palm trees are not edible, the people of Nice subsist exclusively on salads, which eventually becomes relatively boring, especially for the local population who, being idle, have no other option but to turn to surfing or mafioso activities.”
We might as well elaborate on these so-called activities. The author doesn’t hold back: “That area of the French Riviera is indeed more or less the French Sicily. Drugs, prostitution networks, casino wars, it’s all there to entertain the thrill-seeking mafioso from Nice… Over there, everyone corrupts everyone to such an extent that Nice politicians end up fleeing to Uruguay to escape justice and sip cocktails in discos run by former high-ranking Nazi officials.”
But to drive the point home: “With this socio-cultural context, mixed with the influence of neighboring Italy, which is to football what Pol Pot’s Cambodia was to human rights, one can foresee how a monster like OGC Nice could have been created.”
Indeed, this brave journalist, named Conan, must believe he has a great sense of humor and that he would make the supporters of his Strasbourg team laugh by publishing such remarks. Is he aware that he’s talking about football? Does he even know what defamation is?
