In conjunction with the conference, Nice Premium announced the launch of the Nice Premium Asso platform. It will be launched in May and will allow local associations to communicate for free on Nice Premium.
The phrase “pushing the walls” was appropriate for that evening. The room quickly filled up and the numerous chairs available were occupied well before the conference began. The conference started with the traditional quarter-hour delay characteristic of the Côte d’Azur.
Nathalie Audin opened the debate with a presentation of APPASCAM. This association helps other associations in legal, management, and human resources areas. She provided an overview of the difficulties for an association to communicate, thus explaining the partnership with Nice Premium in the project of the news portal for associations in Nice and the Côte d’Azur. “Currently, APPASCAM and Nice Premium are working on other projects to develop, structure, and especially to support the associative world of Nice and the Côte d’Azur. The associative world needs solid foundations to evolve and also sometimes to avoid or navigate through crisis periods.”
Next, it was the turn of the Circolo Italiano Giuseppe Garibaldi to be presented by one of its members before Bruno Capaldi, former President of the Comites (Committee of Italians Living Abroad) – and elected representative of Italians living abroad, took the floor to confirm the real difficulties, even for an organization like Comites, to announce an event, an activity, or the news of his association in the various local information sources. “By working collaboratively, we can communicate better and assist each other in our various projects. The Italian community is already well-structured in Nice, but I am delighted to welcome the Circolo Italiano Giuseppe Garibaldi within the Italian associations of the region.”
Finally, Franck Viano, President of the association Le Vieux-Nice managing the site Nice Premium and its Director of Publication, retraced the history of the daily web which will soon celebrate its fifth year online. “Today it is a bit easier but, in the beginning without a budget, it was very difficult to communicate. So, we put in place a system D in the form of partnerships, exchanges, and collaboration with structures such as Rugby Nice Côte d’Azur, OGC Nice, Nicexpo, Image Publique, others will forgive me for not naming them…! Despite being a media, it was not easier, on the contrary sometimes, and the mistrust towards web press at that time did not make our task any easier. However, 4 years later, we are still here and our communication is now more structured, not preventing our local daily from never having written a line about our activities during all these years!”
Then the themes of communication were addressed with a focus on free tools on the web for communicating (Blog, Facebook, YouTube, Daily Motion…) as well as ways to create a press dossier or a press release for the media or institutions, creation of a press and institutional mailing list… An overview that will be concluded by the announcement of the opening, in May, of the Nice Premium Associations section which will allow associations in Nice and the Côte d’Azur to communicate for free about their activities, their events, or their events.
The evening will conclude on the roof terrace of the Nice Premium premises for a cocktail that will go on for a good part of the evening to end around 10:30 PM, thus allowing all the associative leaders present to get to know each other and exchange ideas and projects to prove, once and for all, that the associative world of Nice and the Côte d’Azur is there… and well present!
