This Saturday at the Departmental Cultural Space at the port of Nice, Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, unveiled the cultural program for the summer of 2019: “Culture is our collective soul: it opens us to others, civilizes us, and makes us better.”
From June 28 to September 22, 2019, the Summer Evenings will offer more than 400 free quality performances, presented by 1,000 artists in 154 municipalities of the department.
From classical melodies to jazzy atmospheres, including folk tunes or international variety, from cabaret to theater or even cheeky humor, there will be something for everyone.
Another highlight of the summer, the Festival of Words (8 evenings), a literary interlude with readings by renowned artists that will transport the audience into the worlds of the greatest writers.
Not to forget Les Folies des Lacs, which will offer several free open-air concerts on the shores of Lake Colmiane.
