Patrick Mottard’s office is launching today the support committee 06 for Jean-Michel Baylet for the socialist primaries which will be held on October 9 and 16. The Radical Left Party is highlighting its national president and his program with the presence of Patrick Mottard, general councilor of the Alpes-Maritimes, Loรฏc Deltour, municipal councilor of Valbonne-Sophia Antipolis, Chantal Maimon, municipal councilor of Mandelieu-La Napoule, Jean-Pierre Braganti, municipal councilor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, and Yves Rousguisto, municipal councilor of Vence.
Jean-Christophe Picard, president of PRG 06, emphasizes: “the primaries are democratic and make our opponents look outdated.”
The announcement of the support committee happens today because we now know Senator Baylet’s program.
Titled “Boldness on the Left,” it encompasses 30 proposals, including one for a federal Europe as well as a European ministry of research and the deepening of liberties.
Patrick Mottard emphasizes one point: “The United States of Europe is an old idea that is starting to gain traction.”
Jean-Michel Baylet is the only non-socialist candidate in these primaries and, in fact, protests against certain socialist measures which he considers “archaic.”
The other priority for PRG06 elected officials is clarity in their discourse. As for those who would say they have no chance, PRG elected officials respond: “Polls are not a good indicator because the electorate is elusive. But the more votes we get, the more our ideas will be adopted.”
To support Jean-Michel Baylet, Mr. Picard announces the launch of a Facebook page and the distribution of flyers starting Saturday.
