After yesterday’s session, Friday, June 9, the National Conservatory of Regional Influence once again welcomes primary school students from the City of Nice for an exceptional musical and theatrical experience!

In its mission to raise awareness and initiate music from primary school years, the CNRR has rehearsed extensively with many children from Nice’s schools on the musical tale inspired by Maurice Druon’s book and set to music by Henri Sauguet: “Tistou les Pouces Verts.”

This “participatory opera” allows the discovery of opera codes through active participation of the audience and classes. By singing live from the hall, the spectator directly immerses themselves in the story and connects with the artists on stage.

The orchestra that accompanies the children’s choirs, the solo roles, and vocal ensembles requiring particular technical skill are composed of CNRR students, teachers, and invited artists. The musical direction is led by Bruno Pasquier, the stage direction by Rudolphe Pignon, and the artistic coordination by Michรจle Anguille-Lincelรฉ, all three of whom are teachers at the CNRR.

“Tistou” tells the adventures of a little boy who sees life from a fresh perspective. Because he falls asleep in school, Tistou follows the lessons of Mr. Moustache, his parents’ gardener, and discovers he has a gift: the ability to make flowers grow.
