A toy drive for a more supportive Christmas

Latest News

The Carrefour hypermarkets in Nice Lingostiรจre and Nice TNL offer their customers the opportunity to give gifts to less fortunate children by recycling their old toys. This Wednesday, November 13th, and the upcoming Saturday, November 16th, Emmaus volunteers and communities, in partnership with Eco-systรจmes, will set up a temporary collection point in-store.

Because children grow up, some toys have long since lost their appeal. Instead of throwing them away or storing them in the attic, they can be dropped off at Carrefour hypermarkets in Nice. The donating families will go home with the assurance that their old toys will make others happy by continuing their lives in other hands.

All the toys will be collected by Eco-Systรจmes and UNIS-CITES for Emmaus, which will, after refurbishing them if needed, redistribute them to hundreds of children in need. This initiative allows for intelligent and supportive recycling, preventing waste. It encourages the reuse of toys while helping families in difficulty.

In 2012, the operation implemented by Carrefour in its stores allowed for the collection of 780 shopping carts of toys.
