Around one o’clock in the morning, a 34-year-old woman died after falling from the 6th floor. Emergency services attempted to assist the young woman, but were unsuccessful.
Her 34-year-old companion was arrested and placed in police custody in Cannes. According to information from France Bleu Azur, the couple had consumed alcohol during the evening.
The suspect claimed that after an argument, his partner rushed towards the window. However, the neighbors told the media outlet Le Parisien that they heard screams and the man in his thirties say: “I’m sorry, I love you,” shortly before his partner’s fall.
Investigators are trying to clarify the circumstances under which this tragedy occurred. The Grasse prosecutor’s office is in charge of the investigation.
