According to the initial findings of the investigation, the woman, in her sixties, was allegedly killed by a train while it was in motion.
Traffic was halted in both directions for several hours after a tragic accident occurred around 12 PM. Near the Saint-Laurent-du-Var station, a woman met her death on the railway tracks between Nice and Cagnes-sur-Mer.
The victim was already deceased when the firefighters arrived. It is not yet known whether it was an accident or a desperate act: an investigation has been opened.
