In the context of the “Egamix” month, formerly called “the weeks of equality and gender diversity in professions,” the academy of Nice organized an academic day to highlight best practices for promoting gender equality among students, teachers, and management teams of the academy.
The event provided an opportunity to meet with young female champions who have won medals in their category and discuss with them how practicing high-level sports serves as a catalyst for gender equality and fosters better coexistence.
A presentation of academic initiatives for gender equality carried out in the schools of Var and the Alpes-Maritimes was also conducted using posters, slam poetry, writing contests, videos, discovery rallies, and more.
Finally, workshops allowed students and teachers from different schools to meet and share projects undertaken within the framework of regional initiatives for equality, such as Boy’s Day-Girl’s Day, the 123… Parity! contest, and others.
This day was part of the Egamix operation, which took place from October 12 to November 5, 2015, in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Egamix follows the four previous editions of the “weeks of equality and gender diversity in professions.” This initiative aims, in particular, to promote gender equality within companies.
