As part of its policy to integrate people with disabilities, numerous actions are undertaken to facilitate the daily lives of disabled citizens and enable them to fully participate in community life.
Thus, during the summer, the municipality offers two accessible beaches for free along the Promenade des Anglais, one at Carras and the other at Centenaire, providing people with disabilities the opportunity to swim safely from 11 AM to 6 PM with the assistance of twelve beach assistants available 7 days a week.
The 2016 report: 1,807 water entries, 1,262 trips to the accessible beaches conducted by Mobil’Azur.
Since 2009, 15,200 people have been able to enjoy this service, and 23,000 people have visited the site.
