Educational fishing initiation for children:
1- Children’s introduction to fishing: equipment and bait are provided.
2- Promoting social bonds: children are accompanied by parents and adults who help and advise them. At the end of the day, each child will receive a reward. They will share a snack.
3- Discovering the names of fish and terminology related to fishing.
4- Drawing contest on the theme of the sea.
5- Environment: awareness stand about marine pollution by plastics and its impact on fauna and flora.
Green Pavilion 2011 Edition
An educational initiative: the “Green Pavilions” are organized for the 3rd consecutive year by the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur from June 8 to 13, 2011. This operation aims to inform and raise awareness among pleasure boaters and yachting crews about eco-friendly practices, namely:
• avoid discharging wastewater in ports or near the coast
• properly sort waste and dispose of it in designated facilities at ports
• participate in protecting marine biodiversity.
A Green Pavilion will be awarded to boaters committed to engaging in environmentally respectful actions. Our teams will be present in our ports to deliver environmentally friendly messages from June 8 to 13.
Eze June 12
Discovering Nautical Activities
Discover scuba diving with the opportunity to do introductory dives. Presentation of federal courses and various activities (snorkeling, technical diving, biological diving, freediving, photography, …)
In collaboration with the Eze Nautical Club, introduction to sea kayaking and sailing. Events will take place on Eze beach.
Nice from June 6 to 8
The Marine World Discovery Center offers the cleaning of the seabed and its surroundings.
As part of the Sea Days, the CDMM invites the children of the CEDAC Club and the general public to contribute to creating an exhibition on the waste collected from the seabed from the military beach (Nice).
This waste will be collected on June 6 and June 7 by the firefighters of the Red Tower.
This exhibition will be visible at the military beach on Wednesday, June 8. The general public will be made aware of the lifespan of waste in the water.
