In response to the surge in coronavirus cases, the President of the Republic will speak on Tuesday evening. This will be an opportunity to provide a health update and possibly announce new measures.
#Vaccination #COVID19 | As of November 6:
✔51,375,736 people have received a first injection
✔50,240,624 people have complete vaccination coverage— Ministry of Solidarity and Health (@Sante_Gouv) November 6, 2021
Emmanuel Macron will speak on Tuesday evening at 8 PM live from the Élysée Palace on TF1.
The reason is the concerning rise of the epidemic. In France and more broadly in Europe, the spread of the virus is increasing again.
39% is the increase in the number of coronavirus cases compared to last week in France.
Currently, the national incidence rate is at 60 while the alert level is at 50. Hospitalizations have slightly increased in recent days.
In this context, France may potentially have to face a fifth wave.
New measures are expected to be announced: the third dose of the vaccine is not excluded as a means to combat the resurgence of the epidemic. It remains to be determined what arrangements will be made to tackle this new wave.
Similarly, economic recovery and reform should be on the agenda, announced Gabriel Attal, the government spokesperson.
