This is a study that presents this… not very surprising information.

The real estate platform SeLoger has just published a study on the average rents in France. Nice has one of the highest average rates.

In the span of a year, the average rent increased by 1.7% in the capital of the French Riviera. Today, a resident of Nice must spend 784 euros per month on average to rent a 45 mยฒ unfurnished apartment. Last year, it was nearly 770 euros.

This figure places Nice as the second most expensive city in France in terms of average rent. Naturally, it is the capital that takes the first place by far with 1309 euros on average.

The rest of the Top 5 includes 2 cities from the Alpes-Maritimes, in the third and fourth positions. These are the two other largest cities in the 06 region, Cannes (765 euros per month) and Antibes (751 euros monthly). It is Lyon that concludes the top 5 with 745 euros per month.

Like Nice, the two towns in the Alpes-Maritimes saw their average rent increase over the course of a year: ย 0.2% for Cannes and ย 0.9%ย for Antibes.
