AGECOTEL returns to Nice for its 32nd edition.

Latest News

From February 1 to 3, 2026, Nice will host the 32nd edition of AGECOTEL, a trade show dedicated to professionals in cafés, hotels, restaurants, and the food industry. Featuring innovations, competitions, professional exchanges, and political presence, the event once again confirmed its central role in the region.

From the entrance, AGECOTEL sets the tone. A multitude of stands offers a variety of diverse contents. From wine to online booking solutions, including food products, professional equipment, and digital services, more than 130 exhibitors representing 250 brands are present to interact with visitors and showcase their everyday solutions. Well-known companies like Malongo stand alongside firms specializing in new technologies. They all share the same goal: to present their products, engage in discussions with attending professionals, and try to approach as many contacts as possible in a friendly atmosphere. For Bruno Ducout, an employee of the online booking company “Overfull”, trade shows remain an essential visibility tool. “We have been attending trade shows like this for 7/8 years,” he explains, but AGECOTEL represents a novelty for the company, “This show, it’s the first time we’re doing it, so we’ll see.”

A Place of Transmission and Training

Beyond the stands, the show is distinguished by its event program. For three days, the show is punctuated by competitions and conferences, including several cooking competitions, highly followed by visitors. These competitions take place under the watchful eye of starred chefs, MOF, and prominent figures in gastronomy, catering, bakery, pastry, and chocolate. These highlights contribute to the identity of the show, aiming to be both a place of business and transmission. The program of AGECOTEL is enriched each edition with workshops and practical discussions organized by some partners, addressing everyday questions or current themes related to the profession. Hospitality schools, particularly Lycée Hôtelier Paul Augier, play an important role in this edition. Students, present to showcase their work, display real enthusiasm. “Being here is very rewarding, we show what we learn in class to real professionals,” explains a student. These interactions between young trainees and industry players illustrate one of AGECOTEL’s major goals: to promote intergenerational encounters.

A Regionally Recognized Event

This 32nd edition is also marked by the presence of officials, including Éric Ciotti, in the context of upcoming municipal elections. This presence underscores the economic and territorial importance of the hospitality and food industry sectors in the region. Created over 35 years ago, this show has established itself as the unmissable event for professionals in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Between innovations, prestigious competitions, and human exchanges, the event confirms once again its role as a preferred platform for a constantly evolving sector.
