The AGLAE association organizes a weekly event every Sunday, starting from July 23 until August 27, at Castel Beach located at the very beginning of Quai des Etats-Unis opposite the old town of Nice.
Members of the association will be present from 3:00 PM on the beach to distribute condom/gel duos, and from 5:00 PM onwards, there will be an Apérobeach which is easily envisioned as festive and full of good cheer.
Following the Pink Parade that kicked off the summer festivities, the Aglae association continues its effective work in the homosexual community of the French Riviera with a mission of information and prevention, setting three specific goals:
– Represent and defend the interests of its members, whether they are merchants or not.
– Develop and promote the presence of homosexuals in the life of our region and their citizenship (organization of events, demonstrations, parades, in the arts, leisure, nightlife). Initiatives such as creating a Gay & Lesbian Film Festival or organizing a gay pride in Nice are examples of AGLAE’s projects. Organizing exhibitions of gay & lesbian artists is also included.
– Disseminate information to its members in the fight against HIV or any other sexually transmitted disease. AGLAE can thus serve as a relay for other associations that have proven themselves in this field (Aides, Ajac, etc.). AGLAE can support any good will or initiative in this field or organize prevention actions within member establishments.
So, see you next Sunday at Castel Beach for an even more “gay” Apérobeach.
