A part-time hospital physician job added to various municipal duties, you would have guessed it, it amounts to 35 hours… but in three days, this cyber municipal councilor finds herself obliged to spend on these various files as on her patients while emphasizing that “her activities are exciting and deserve all the invested time.”
A woman of action, she is one of the most active advisors in the current municipal team and, what’s more, according to the opinion of some of her colleagues which I confess to sharing, she is by far the most effective among them.

Mrs. Rampal, how did the 2005 school year start in Nice?
The school year went well, all the work launched during the summer was carried out in the little time allotted for the holidays, the opening of classrooms allowed all children to be accommodated, and the delivery of the Ronchèse Maternelle school made it possible to welcome 4 kindergarten classes in the heart of Nice.
What are the new features of this school year?
The big novelty of this school year is of course the change of contractor for the school canteens: this has given enormous work to the municipal services: the elaboration of a very precise specification to ensure the quality of products and menus for the canteen children but also very specific in particular.
You plan a unique registration file for extracurricular activities. Can you tell us more about this?
Yes, to simplify the procedures for parents; currently, parents must make a registration file for each activity: sports, leisure centers, animation centers, and cultural activities!!! sometimes therefore 5 files and they must provide the same documents each time!!
The unique registration file will allow to no longer make more than one file; it can be downloaded from the internet or at the town halls and sent completed with the supporting documents also by mail!
This is a real simplification of administrative procedures for parents.
The price of the canteen has dropped in Nice. What are the reasons?
Simply put, the public service delegation granted to Azur Restauration ended on August 31. It was therefore necessary to launch a new tender and the company that made the best quality-price proposal was the Société Sodhexo.
The first days of this new contractor are going well and there have been no criticisms of the quality of what is served.
Where is your Maélis project, which consists of managing registrations via the internet, at?
It is progressing well since by the end of this school year the system will be installed and operational in all our schools!
When will it be possible to reserve sports activities (pools, sports fields, gymnasiums…) on the Internet?
The IT service is working on it!!
Following the total success of internet registrations for the city’s cultural activities, which allows teachers to register directly, we indeed wanted to continue modernizing and simplifying this type of procedure, but the issue is more difficult given the current organization which is not centralized: it is not only a computer problem but it requires reorganizing the operating mode.
And finally, what are the future projects of Agnès Rampal in the coming months?
To inventory all the municipal actions towards Youth to make an assessment that will improve weak points; continue improving the comfort of schools, the welcoming in our leisure centers on Wednesdays and during school holidays: we accommodate 3000 children per day in July and 2000 in August!
