As part of its actions to support the integration of people with disabilities, the city of Nice organizes annual days of activities centered around both team and individual sports.

More than 1,000 people with various disabilities will participate in these municipal days.

Various sports activities (including some competitive ones) are offered: soccer, basketball, judo, pétanque, swimming, spelunking, climbing, tandem cycling, and mountain biking.

Furthermore, associations will present the activities and services they offer to people with disabilities at their stands.

These days will conclude on Friday with a recreational afternoon starting at 2:30 PM, featuring shows, dancing, and an awards ceremony for the participants in the sports competitions.

This friendly and festive event, titled “All Together,” aims to demonstrate that despite physical or mental differences, everyone has the capabilities to achieve performances, symbols of self-improvement through effort.

PROGRAM:

Tuesday, June 6, 2006: Soccer, Basketball, Pétanque, and Judo.

Wednesday, June 7, 2006: Sea outings and swimming.

Thursday, June 8, 2006: Spelunking, Climbing, Horseback Riding, and Gymnastics.

Friday, June 9, 2006: Running, Wheelchair racing, Mountain Biking, Pedal-pusher.

Closing party and awards ceremony, Friday, June 9, 2006, starting from 2:30 PM.
