All with Hugo is preparing a new edition of Christmas at the Archet 2 Hospital.

The pediatric oncology department of the Archet 2 hospital will host a new edition of Christmas organized by the association “Tous avec Hugo” this Wednesday, December 10th, starting at 2 PM. A meeting established for over ten years. A team of volunteers, loyal partners, and numerous activities will accompany this festive time designed for hospitalized children. Each participant will receive a pre-selected gift, offered by the association.

The association prepares a program every year designed to create a break in the everyday routine of the department. Santa Claus will visit the rooms and hand out gifts selected by the children. The mascots of Les mascottes06000 will set the mood from the beginning of the afternoon. Mickey, Minnie, and Stitch will be present. Christmas craft workshops will be set up in the rooms designated for the event. Presta’Puce will host a blind test adapted for the young patients.

This event will also mark the official donation handover from the “Les apprentis du Père Noël” operation. This collection was renewed this year by the CFA Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, in collaboration with the “Tous avec Hugo” association. Nearly 200 new games and toys have been gathered for this edition. The donations will be given to the CHU of Nice for several pediatric departments. The toys will be used for other activities and scheduled distributions throughout the year.

The initiative will continue until December 15th in the AnimaNice centers and in Nice’s nursery schools, where collection points will remain accessible. Contributors are required to donate only new toys, intended for children under the care of the CHU.

An association born from a family struggle turned collective project

All these actions are part of the history of the “Tous avec Hugo” association. The organization was born after Hugo’s birth in 2012. His parents created a support framework to stay by his side during a period marked by a stage 4 cancer diagnosis when Hugo was only four months old.

Since that time, the team of volunteers has been supporting children hospitalized in pediatric oncology. Support is also extended to relatives, who often face administrative and logistical challenges. The organization also funds part of the research related to pediatric cancers. The development of treatments adapted for children is among the priorities announced by the association.

The organization also presents a broader objective, as explained by this phrase: “but it is not enough! And we want to do more, we want to do better!” This message expresses a desire to increase the scope of the actions taken. Some of the resources fund hospital supplies, regular activities, gifts distributed at different times of the year, and ongoing support for medical teams.

An expanding mobilization with new partners

The “Les apprentis du Père Noël” collection represents a recent example of expanding the support network. After a first edition that managed to gather more than 200 games, the operation returns for the current season. The principle remains the same: a drop-off location accessible at the CFA, in the AnimaNice centers, and during events organized by the partners.

This solidarity chain supports the Christmas event organized annually at Archet 2 and also pursues a continuous goal, highlighted in the association’s presentation: move forward without pause, support families, offer activities, contribute to research. The association describes this commitment as a collective endeavor intended to offer hope and comfort.

This December 10th day is therefore part of a set of actions distributed throughout the year. A festive atmosphere will punctuate this day, with simple activities, gifts chosen by the children, and the constant involvement of volunteers.

Another edition for this now familiar meeting in the department, built around a message conveyed since the creation of the association: remaining present with hospitalized children and families affected by pediatric cancer.
