“Always Charlie”… always!

Latest News

This Saturday, an important day of debates titled “Still Charlie” was held in Paris, three years after the attack.

At a time when the President asserts being vigilant in the face of secular radicalization (are we dreaming or rather having a nightmare!), at a time when the government reappoints, even before the end of his mandate, the ambiguous Jean-Louis Bianco at the head of the Observatoire de la laïcité, it was urgent, in this context of “Submission,” for the defenders of the French secular model to react.

The day was indeed an opportunity to reiterate some truths:

– For the philosopher Raphaël Enthoven, the term “Islamophobia” is a scam that pretends to confuse the criticism of a dogma with the racism of a human group, putting Cabu and Le Pen in the same bag.

– For Pascal Bruckner, Charlie Hebdo has succeeded in normalizing Islam, something neither the Islamo-leftists, for whom Islam is a substitute proletariat, nor the fanatics want.

– For Elisabeth Badinter (highly applauded), it’s about recognizing that a part of the left is becoming complicit with those who want to destroy the law of 1905.

The left has let the FN and its satellites capture the battles that had always been its own. It’s easy, afterward, to accuse Charlie of racism and Islamophobia. The intimidation work of Islamists and the guilt-tripping by leftists has not remained without effects –

– An active participant on the ground, Véronique Corazza, a school principal in Saint-Denis, denounced the aid-to-homework associations that hide clandestine fundamentalist schools and justified the dismissal of a school assistant who refused to shake hands with women.

The day, held in the presence of a very assertive Caroline Fourest, of Manuel Valls, Valérie Pécresse, and Anne Hidalgo (who was heckled), was very useful for all those who, beyond jihadism and terrorism, want to tackle the roots of the evil: Islamic fundamentalism, ideological and political. Thus allowing the Republic to resist its offensive. An imperative reason to be “Still Charlie”… always!
