An original initiative initiated by the association “Tandem Charité” for the benefit of “Enfants Cancers Santé” and the Alpes-Maritimes committee of the League against Cancer
“Present daily with local project holders, Crédit Mutuel wanted to support the organization of this evening intended to raise funds to help children with cancer,” specified Henri Alunni, president of the Crédit Mutuel fund, at the press conference.
As Professor Maurice Schneider, president of the Alpes-Maritimes committee of the League against Cancer, pointed out: “This initiative carried out by two young Latvians, Karina Mikolajenko and Marina Matkova, creators of the ‘Tandem Charité’ association, is encouraging. The perception people have about cancer needs to be changed.”
The disease of the century, cancer does not spare children. 250,000 young people die from this scourge every year worldwide.
Many artists from the Côte d’Azur responded to this call for solidarity by donating some of their works: Laurence Aëgerter, Arman, Alain Bellino, Ben, Alessandro Biancheri, Stéphane Cipre, Piergiorgio Colombara, Anne Gérard, Pascal Goujon, Keskon Fabrique, Anthony Mirial, Frédérique Nalbandian, Richard Orlinski, Stuart Redler…
On this occasion, the performance of the mermaid Ambre Saint-Clare will be offered.
All of the funds raised will be donated to “The League against Cancer” and “Enfants Cancers et Santé”.
